League of Legends - Blitzcrank Guide

Posted by Jindooo on Dienstag, November 01, 2011

Blitzcrank is a powerful off-tank with great interrupt abilities, he is also a very fun champion to play and can be a great annoyance to play against (and fun to play as). Blitzcrank excels at catching enemies off guard with his Rocket Grab ability and has great speed thanks to the free speed-up on his Overdrive

This Blitzcrank guide aims to be a basic and simple introduction on basic strategy that should be adopted when playing Blitzcrank, it is recommended for people just starting to use Blitzcrank.

Abilities

  • Blitzcrank Mana Barrier (Passive) Blitzcrank's passive will save you alot early game and is great to bait the enemy champions in, only discover you've still got an extra 200-300 health thanks to your passive. This passive also gives Blitzcrank a reason to focus on mana based items.

  • Blitzcrank Rocket Grab Blitzcrank's signature move, which allows you to pick people off. You can use it to pull people into your team, an allied tower and even through walls. You must get good at hitting this skill shot if you want to be a successful Blitzcrank player.

  • Blitzcrank Overdrive This ability provides a free speed boost and with full cooldown can nearly always be active. It is great for putting some hurt on towers, catching up to enemies or fleeing from danger.

  • Blitzcrank Power Fist Another one of Blitzcrank's interrupt abilities which is extremely easy to use. It is very powerful combined with Blitzcrank's Rocket Grab and Static Field.

  • Blitzcrank Static Field (Ultimate) Blitzcrank's ultimate is a massive area of effect with a low cooldown and a silencing aspect. The timing of this ability in a team fight can drastically change its result.

Ability Order

blitzcrank_skills
Generally the best way to level your abilities is:
(Ult) > Power Fist > Overdrive > Rocket Grab

Rocket Grab is a must have at level 1 as it allows you to invade the enemy jungle or catch someone off guard in lane. Maxing Power Fist first is your best bet as it reduces its cooldown greatly. Secondly you want to grab your Overdrive to increase the movement speed and attack speed buff. This leaves Rocket Grab to be maxed last.

Runes

blitzcrank_runes
Red (Marks) - Armor Penetration
Yellow (Seals) - Mana Regeneration // Armor
Blue (Glyphs) - Cooldown Reduction // Magic Resistance
Purple (Quintessences) - Health // Movement Speed

Armor Penetration Marks increase Blitzcrank's damage output early game hopefully ensuring you and your partner a kill. Mana regeneration on Seals provide any early mana regeneration you nee but you can also run Armor. Cooldown Reduction Glyphs allow you to use your skills more often to disable an enemy or speed yourself up. Flat Health on Quintessences gives Blitzcrank a powerful chunk of starting health, but you can also run movement speed.

Summoner Spells

summoner_spells
Best Summoner Spells:
-Flash
-Clairvoyance

Flash and Clairvoyance are two strong summoner spells for Blitzcrank, Flash gives you a strong escape skill as you already have a built in Ghost skill through Overdrive. Flash can also be used to Flash into the enemy team and using Static Field, causing strong damage and silencing the whole enemy team. While Clairvoyance gives your team great map control and also allows you to Clairvoyance over walls for surprise Rocket Grabs.

Other Good Summoner Spells:
-Exhaust
-Teleport

Blitzcrank is very versatile in his summoner spells, he can take an Exhaust or Teleport to fill a hole in his teams summoner spells. Exhaust offers an extra form of crowd control while Teleport increases your teams map control.

Masteries

blitzcrank_masteries
A 0/9/21setup is perfect for Blitzcrank.

The defensive tree boosts your early game defences while also providing you increased health regeneration based on your mana. Since mana is a core focus for Blitzcrank it will provide you with a strong amount of sustainability in lane.

The utility tree offers Blitzcrank reduced death timers, increased experience, improved gold, mana regeneration, movement speed and improved summoner spells.

Item Build

blitzcrank_items
Final Item Build:
-Mercury's Treads
-Aegis of the Legion
-Manamune
-Trinity Force
-Banshee's Veil
-Frozen Heart

Steps/Reasoning:
-Start off with a Mana Crystal & 2 Health Potions, this gives you some sustain and also allows you to rush an early Tear.
-First trip back you want to build your Mercury's Treads, also grab a Tear of Goddess.
-Your final core item Sheen, which has great synergy with Blitzcrank's ability.
-From here you want to start building up your resistances. Aegis of the Legion is a strong choice as it also offers great bonuses for your team.
-For other defensive items you want to consider Frozen Heart and Banshee's Veil, as these also provide you with mana.
-If you require more damage output you want to look at a Trinity Force and a Manamune.

Alternatives:
-Guardian Angel (A good final item if the enemy team is very balanced)
-Force of Nature (A massive magic resistance boost)
-Randuin's Omen (A strong active ability that also increases your armor)

General Blitzcrank Gameplay Tips

  • Blitzcrank has very powerful interrupts, use them to protect your team.
  • Blitzcrank is best partnered with a snare/stun or someone with nuke capabilities during the laning phase.
  • Always target the enemy carry or support with your Rocket Grab, it will result in certain death for them.
  • The combo of Rocket Grab > Power Fist > Static Field is very deadly against a single opponent.
  • If the enemy is using minions to block Rocket Grab, you can use Overdrive and Power Fist to disable them, using Rocket Grab and your ultimate as they run away.

Early Game - (Level 1-6)

  • Conserve mana for Rocket Grabs that will result in kills or heavy damage to the enemy. Pulling the enemy in when your partner is away from lane or they are not in position will result in a large amount of wasted mana.
  • Mana shield can help you bait enemies into over committing.
  • Focus on landing solid Rocket Grab > Power Fist combos on the enemy, grabbing as many last hits as possible in between.
  • Blitzcrank has a strong advantage when the enemy pushes you back towards your tower.

Mid Game - (Level 7-12)

  • Focus on disabling the enemy carry (or whoever else had a strong early game) you can shut them down quite easily.
  • You should begin farming minion waves with your ultimate.
  • Blitzcrank is great at pushing and defending towers thanks to his free speed boost from Overdrive.

Late Game - (Level 13-18)

  • Keep your focus on the enemy carry or support, you can easily take them out of the fight.
  • The silence on Blitzcrank's ultimate can devastate multiple enemies, use it when you are surrounded by several enemies for maximum effectiveness.
  • Use Power Fist and your ultimate to stop any enemies using channelled ultimates, these are very deadly late game (Katarina, Fiddlesticks etc.)
  • Be aware of who has a Banshee's Veil, this can disrupt your standard combo.

League of Legends - Annie Guide

Posted by Jindooo on Dienstag, November 01, 2011

Annie is a nuke caster based around the element of fire. She can summoner her pet Tibbers to aid her on the battlefield and has a strong shield to protect herself. Annie has fairly low cooldowns, is a powerful laning champion and potentially has an area of effect stun, giving her great utility in both 1v1 and team fights.

This Annie guide aims to be a basic and simple introduction on basic strategy that should be adopted when playing Annie, it is recommended for people just starting to use Annie.

Abilities

  • Annie Pyromania (Passive) Annie has a very powerful passive and gives her the stun she needs to unleash her combo of spells. It is great for zoning enemies in the laning phase and also can be turned into a nice area of effect stun with the use of Tibbers in team fights.

  • Annie Disintegrate Annie's primary attack spell, it has very low cooldown and has nice base damage and scaling. It also allows Annie to stay in lane for ages at a time allowing her to get some strong early game farming (due to its ability to refund mana on a kill).

  • Annie Incinerate Annie's 2nd offensive spell, it is great for farming mid-late game and also provides a useful spell to build up her passive as it does not require a target to cast. While it is a nice addition to her combo of spells it is the most dangerous to use due to its short range. It is best used after you have stunned your opponent.

  • Annie Molten Shield A strong defensive ability that should always be active mid-late game. With full cooldown reduction this shield is only down for around 3 seconds. Like Incinerate it can help Annie charge up stun on her way back to lane. Molten Shield is also very effective at hiding Annie's stun.

  • Annie Summon: Tibbers (Ultimate) Tibbers combined with the stun from Annie's passive is devastating in both 1v1 situations and in team fights. Tibbers can also be controlled after cast using "ALT + Click". Allowing him to harass a single target, tank a turret as needed or scout out an area. Tibbers also has a fairly low cooldown, making him available for most team fights.

Ability Order

annie_skills
Annie's abilities are best leveled: Ult > Disintegrate > Incinerate > Molten Shield

Disintegrate is maxed first as it is a powerful last hitting spell and also provides Annie with a strong form of harassment. Taking Molten Shield at level 4 is important to help charge up Annie's stun as needed. Incinerate should be maxed second to allow Annie to farm mid game while also increasing your damage output. Molten Shield is left till last as it only requires one point to be effective however if you need more defenses you can drop an extra point or two into this skill earlier.

Runes

annie_runes
Red (Marks) - Magic Penetration
Yellow (Seals) - Mana Regeneration Per Level
Blue (Glyphs) - Cooldown Reduction // Ability Power
Purple (Quintessences) - Health // Ability Power

Magic Penetration Marks are a no-brainer choice on Marks to increase your damage output. Seals should be mana regeneration to maintain your mana levels throughout the game. Running cooldown reduction Glyphs allows you to use your spells more often, leading to more overall damage output and more stuns, alternatively you can run Ability Power to have strong early game harassment. Running Health on Quintessences, gives you the ability to start with many different items, but you can also run Ability Power.

Summoner Spells

summoner_spells
Best Summoner Spells:
-Flash
-Ignite

Flash and Ignite are your best options for summoner spells in regards to Annie. Flash gives you the escape mechanism you need or allows you to Flash in to land a massive Tibbers stun on an enemy. While Ignite compliments Annie strong 1v1 damage and gives the extra boost to damage throughout the game, being related to fire it also just feels at home with Annie.

Other Good Summoner Spells:
-Teleport
-Ghost

Your other options for summoner spells are Teleport and Ghost. Teleport is nice for added map control but you sacrifice either an escape ability or extra damage through Ignite to take it. Ghost is nice replacement to Flash if you prefer it as an escape spell, but Flash is much stronger on Annie.

Masteries

annie_masteries
Annie uses a typical caster setup of 9/0/21.

The offensive tree offers ability power, cooldown reduction and spell penetration.

While the utility tree offers all the important caster related masteries. These include mana regeneration, movement speed, increased buff duration, cooldown reduction and the all important reduced summoner spell cooldown.

Item Build

annie_items
Final Item Build:
-Sorcerer's Shoes
-Rod of Ages
-Rabadon's Deathcap
-Rylai's Crystal Scepter
-Abyssal Scepter
-Zhonya's Hourglass

Steps/Reasoning:
-Start with a Mana Crystal + 2 Health Potions, due to Annie's passive mana regeneration beyond runes and masteries is not needed, this starting item allows you to grab an early Catalyst and giving you some health regeneration through the potions.
-First trip back you want to look at building Boots of Speed and Catalyst The Protector.
-Next get your Tier 2 boots (Sorcerer's Shoes) while also building towards a Rod of Ages.
-Your second item should be Rabadon's Deathcap, giving you a strong Ability Power boost.
-Your next item will depend on the enemy team. If you some defense against casters build an Abyssal Scepter. Or if you want some general survivability and added team utility (through the slow) consider building a Rylai's Crystal Scepter. Your 3rd option is a Zhonya's Hourglass which offers some armor and the ability to become invulnerable.

Alternatives:
-Banshee's Veil (Great counter to crowd control heavy teams).
-Void Staff (A must have against magic resist stacking team).
-Mejai's Soulstealer (Annie dominates the early game, if you do well consider building this).
-DeathFire Grasp (The active is a great addition to Annie's combo).
-Moonflair Spellblade (If the team has slows and silences).

General Annie Tips

  • You can use your Molten Shield to hide your stun from enemies.
  • Against solo targets you can stun with Q effectively to ensure you hit Tibbers. If there are multiple enemies use Tibbers to land your stun.
  • Use Incinerate and Molten Shield on your way back to lane to charge up your stun.
  • Always ensure you build up your stun and keep it up when pushing or you are anticipating a fight.
  • Don't forget you can control Tibbers using "ALT + Click", you can send him on towers or to harass an enemy champion.

Early Game (Level 1-6)

  • Last hit with your auto-attacks and Q. This will keep your mana high and makes Annie one of the best laning and early farming champions.
  • Once your stun is active you can use it to zone your enemies, preventing them from last hitting effectively. This works extremely well in a side 2v2 lane as landing a stun on the enemy will result in significant damage.
  • Concentrate on keeping the enemy low and your mana high, this will ensure you can grab a kill at level 6 with Tibbers.
  • You should not have to recall at all during this stage.

Mid Game (Level 7-12)

  • Now that you have Tibbers you can really start utilizing your full spell combo to bring down squishy champions.
  • Support and gank the side lanes if you were in middle lane, your stun should guarantee kills and if you can land Tibbers on both the enemy side laners, you can get some nice double kills and potential towers.
  • You can start using Incinerate to farm up during this stage.
  • Be sure to always have shield up (or be ready to cast) when enemies are around, try activate it as late as possible to ensure it remains up for the duration of the fight.
  • Be careful when committing to use Incinerate on an enemy, it puts you in harms way.

Late Game (13-18)

  • Try to maintain an active blue golem buff during late game.
  • Always have your stun and Tibbers ready for team fights, you want to try stun as many people with it as possible.
  • Keep your shield up every time its off cooldown now, it gives you great extra survivability.
  • Don't forget that Tibbers can be used to tank towers after you have aced the enemy team if there is no tank available.

League of Legends - Amumu Guide

Posted by Jindooo on Dienstag, November 01, 2011

Amumu is a powerful tank and a strong pick as a jungler. Amumu's power comes from his area of effect ultimate that disables enemies, this skill is great for initiation or to counter the enemies initiation. Amumu also synergises very well with magic based damage dealers thanks to his magic reduction passive.

This Amumu guide aims to be a basic and simple introduction on basic strategy that should be adopted when playing Amumu, it is recommended for people just starting to use Amumu.

Abilities

  • Amumu Cursed Touch (Passive) A very powerful debuff that works very well throughout the entire game. If Amumu is not jungling it is best to pair him up with a caster for maximum effect.

  • Amumu Bandage Toss This skill is mainly used for intiation but also packs a decent stun effect which can be helpful to save an ally or stop an enemy from escaping.

  • Amumu Despair Essentially a free Sunfire Cape for Amumu that also has a %HP based effect, making it very powerful against high health targets. The mana cost is very large early game and should only be activated when needed.

  • Amumu Tantrum This ability allows Amumu to jungle and is a strong area of effect ability which should be castable several times during a team fight depending on how many times you are hit. It also reduces physical damage by a small amount, reducing the potential for lane harassment and reducing incoming minion damage in the jungle.

  • Amumu Curse of the Sad Mummy (Ultimate) An amazing area of effect ultimate that works incredibly well with allied area of effect. With correct timing this ultimate can turn team fights around or be used to initiate on the enemy team in the first place. Generally you should try and save this skill for multiple opponents.

Ability Order

amumu_skills
Generally the best way to level your abilities is:
Curse of the Sad Mummy (Ult) > Tantrum > Despair > Bandage Toss

This skill ordering is the same for laning and jungling. Bandage Toss can be taken at level 1 if you are planning on having a level 1 team fight and your team lacks crowd control (do not do this as jungle Amumu it will slow your jungling). Maxing Tantrum first ensures you get the maximum result from the physical reduction and also gives you great area of effect damage in the jungle, you can take Despair first to jungle but if you get ganked at blue it is alot harder to recover. Taking Bandage Toss at level 4 allows you to gank effectively but can be taken earlier if an early gank presents itself, this skill is maxed last as its only used for the stun.

Runes

amumu_runes
Red (Marks) - Magic Penetration
Yellow (Seals) - Armor
Blue (Glyphs) - Magic Resist
Purple (Quintessences) - Health

Standard tank runes work great on Amumu, Magic Penetration Marks help your damage output and are the best option here. Armor Seals are great and allow you to jungle. Glyphs should be magic resistance to reduce caster damage while Quintessences are best used towards health, giving that strong early game health pool.

Summoner Spells

summoner_spells
Best Summoner Spells:
-Flash
-Smite

For jungle Amumu you want to run Flash and Smite. Smite is a must for any jungler and Flash gives him great escaping abilities in the jungle and also allows him to easily initiate with his ultimate.

Other Good Summoner Spells:
-Exhaust
-Ghost

Exhaust and Ghost are two other summoner spell options available to you and can be taken if you are laning as Amumu.

Masteries

Jungle Setup Shown

amumu_masteries
Running a 1/19/10 is great for jungle Amumu.

Grab improved Smite, gives you some bonus gold and slightly reduces the cooldown.

The defensive tree offers many strong masteries to improve your jungle survivability: it offers armor, magic resistance, dodge, reduced minion damage and starting health.

The utility tree is vital for any jungler and offers increased experience and buff duration.

Item Build

amumu_items
Final Item Build:
-Mercury's Treads
-Sunfire Cape
-Banshee's Veil
-Aegis of the Legion
-Force of Nature
-Frozen Heart

Steps/Reasoning:
-Cloth Armor & 5 Health Potions are a must starting item for jungling.
-First trip back you'll want to build up your Boots of Speed, eventually building them into Mercury's Treads
-Your next core item is Aegis of the Legion (unless someone else is building one) and begin building towards your two core tanking items of Banshee's Veil and Frozen Heart depending on which resistance you need more. These items offer you the ability to block an unfriendly spell, while also reducing your cooldowns, giving your team a powerful aura and increasing your mana pool, removing your reliance on Blue Golem buff.
-From here your build will be situational depending on the resistances that you need most. Solid item choices include Force of Nature giving you a large amount of magic resistance and Sunfire Cape giving you a some extra area of effect damage, health and armor.

Alternatives:
-Thornmail (A great physical damage counter)
-Abyssal Scepter (A great team aura, some solid magic resistance and some Ability Power)
-Guardian Angel (A nice balance of resistances and allows you to revive upon death)

General Amumu Tips

  • Focus on initiation at correct times, consider if your allies are close enough and how many of the enemies will be affected by your ultimate (especially key enemies like support/carries)
  • Only use your ultimate on one target if they are carrying the enemy team or stacking, otherwise it should be saved for numerous enemies.
  • Be sure to activate Despair when around enemies, the damage can add up overtime in a team fight. Don't forget to toggle it off afterwards though.
  • Use the long range of Bandage Toss to initiate on enemies.
  • Consider your position in team fights, you want to hurt maximum enemies with Despair while also tagging them with your passive to help your allies.
  • Always tell your allies when your ultimate is up (or down) as this will affect decisions that they make in teamfights.

Early Game (1-6)

  • Your standard jungle route: Blue > Wolves > Wraith > Red > Mini-Golems
  • Don't forget to always have a health potion active.
  • Consider grabbing an early point in Bandage Toss if a gank presents itself.
  • Avoid over-using your skills they have large mana costs. Even with blue buff you want to be careful using them to ensure that you can complete a full jungle run.

Mid Game (7-12)

  • Amumu's ultimate is particularly devastating during mid-game in the 2v2 and 3v3 fights that occur. It makes for a very deadly ganking tool.
  • Amumu has great farming capabilities with Despair and Tantrum (and even Sunfire Cape), be sure to farm when possible to get those tanky items.
  • The long range on Bandage Toss makes it great for ganks from the bushes in middle lane or side lanes using the river bushes.
  • Consider what items you are going to need this game and what order, base this on the enemy teams composition and which champions are doing particularly well or are particularly strong at a period in the game.
  • You should give the blue golem buff to a mage on your team and the red lizard buff to one of your AD carries at this stage of the game, Amumu is not buff reliant.

Late Game (13-18)

  • Your ultimate can make or break the game at this stage, you should be focusing on correct moments to use this. Saving yourself is generally not a good reason.
  • After using your ultimate, use Tantrum where it will affect maximum enemies, also don't forget to toggle Despair on. Your next move should be harassing the enemy carry and using Bandage Toss on them when possible (as well as spreading your passive to as many enemies as possible).
  • Always stick with your team, generally they will be solely relying on your ultimate for initiation or counter-initiation.

League of Legends - Ashe Guide

Posted by Jindooo on Dienstag, November 01, 2011

Ashe is a powerful ranged physical carry, she packs a built in slow with a strong map wide ultimate. She is a great starting carry for any League of Legends player but also maintains her effectiveness throughout all skill levels (thus making Ashe a great champion to master).

This Ashe guide aims to be a basic and simple introduction on basic strategy that should be adopted when playing Ashe, it is recommended for people just starting to use Ashe.

Abilities

  • Ashe Focus (Passive) Ashe's passive ensures that when she reaches the battle that she can output some quick damage with a critical strike. It is also great to use for your very first attack at level 1, giving you a guaranteed critical while also establishing lane dominance.

  • Ashe Frost Shot Ashe's strong slow that she can toggle on and off as required. It makes her auto attacks very deadly, making it hard to get close to Ashe or escape from her. Its current level also applies to her Volley ability, giving Ashe a strong area of effect slow.

  • Ashe Volley Volley is Ashe's lane harrassment skill and area of effect slow. It gives Ashe great poke damage and is a great ability defensively and offensively.

  • Ashe Hawkshot Hawkshot has a great number of uses for Ashe and her team. Its great for scouting out for ganks when pushing a lane, it also helps you not lose sight of an enemy as they run into a bush and is great for checking Baron and Dragon. The extra gold for kills doesn't hurt either.

  • Ashe Enchanted Crystal Arrow (Ultimate) A map wide ultimate that can quickly turn a battle in your favour. It can be used very effectively to initiate on the enemy team and can also be used to help your team mates if you find yourself on the other side of the map.

Ability Order

ashe_skill_order
You want to level your abilities as follows:
Ult > Volley > Frost Shot > Hawkshot

Volley is useful for harassment and farming so is best to max first to greatly decrease its cooldown and slightly increase its damage. Frost Shot should be maxed second to increase the slow amount on both your auto attacks and on your Volley. One point in Hawk Shot is important at level 4, this will help you scout out areas to prevent being ganked and also great to stop bush campers in side lanes.

Runes

ashe_runes
Red (Marks) - Armor Penetration
Yellow (Seals) - Mana Regeneration Per Level // Armor
Blue (Glyphs) - Magic Resistance
Purple (Quintessences) - Attack Damage // Armor Penetration // Health // Movement Speed

This rune build gives Ashe amazing early game damage with armor penetration and attack damage to ensure she can hit hard right from the start. Mana regeneration on Seals allows Ashe to forgo any mana regeneration item and allows her to consistently harass early and constantly make use of her Frost Shot throughout the game. If you find yourself not needing the mana regeneration consider taking armor instead. In the case of Glyphs magic resistance is a strong choice.

Depending on your playstyle (and available runes) you can run Health, Movement Speed or more Armor Penetration on Quintessences.

Summoner Spells

summoner_spells
Best Summoner Spells:
-Flash
-Ghost

Ashe is a very squishy ranged champion and as such relies on perfect positioning to be effective. As such taking two position based summoners will really save your life (and even score you some kills).

Other Good Summoner Spells:
-Cleanse
-Exhaust
-Teleport

There are a few other summoner spell options for Ashe, Cleanse is nice to help you escape crowd control and is a nice pick if the enemy has lots of it, as it will help greatly until you can build a Banshee's Veil. Exhaust is another okay option for Ashe and is great if the enemy team is packing a few too many assassins too handle. Teleport is your final option for Ashe, this allows you to get around to the map quickly and can be combined with your ultimate to stun someone for the full duration and then Teleport in for the kill.

Masteries

ashe_masteries
Ashe works well as a 21/0/9 champion, you want to grab all the relevant offensive masteries (penetration, critical chance, attack speed and critical damage). You also get to grab the bonus experience, improved ghost and some extra buff duration from the utility mastery.

Don't forget to grab improved Exhaust/Teleport if you take it a summoner skill.

Item Build

ashe_items
Final Item Build:
-Boots of Swiftness
-Banshee's Veil
-Last Whisper
-Infinity Edge
-Bloodthirster
-Phantom Dancer

Steps/Reasoning:
-Pick up a Doran's Blade at the start of the game, this gives you a damage boost, some life-steal and a boost to your starting health.
-Farm up as much as possible in lane going back to build your Boots of Swiftness or Berserker's Greaves also buying another Doran's Blade if you are forced back early.
-If you are not forced back early grab yourself a B.F. Sword, eventually building this into an Infinity Edge.
-From here picking up a Phantom Dancer is a great idea to boost your attack speed, critical chance (important to make use of Infinity Edge) and movement speed (helps you position yourself better).
-By now you will probably need some survivability, thus build towards a Banshee's Veil
-From here if the game is still going you can build a Bloodthirster for a big damage boost and also look at picking up a Last Whisper to eat through the enemies armor.

Alternatives:
-2nd Bloodthirster (For a large chunk of raw Attack Damage with some added Lifesteal)
-Black Cleaver (Great against a squishy enemy team, also gives some attack speed)
-Madred's Bloodrazor (A must have for high health targets)

General Ashe Tips

  • Make sure you toggle Frost Shot on for champions and off when you are not attacking champions.
  • Use Hawk Shot when you are worried about an enemy that is missing, also consider the casting placement as it also becomes a temporary ward.
  • Ashe has a map-wide ultimate making map awareness very important on Ashe, you can turn battles into your teams favour from the other side of the map very quickly.
  • Ashe is squishy like most carries, consider your position carefully. Use your range, slows and speed to poke at the enemy.
  • Hawk Shot is extremely effective for battles in the jungle and around bush areas, as it gives your team full vision of the enemy, a huge advantage.
  • Consider your angle when using your ultimate, its much easier to hit an enemy coming towards you or moving away.

Early Game

  • Save your first attack for the enemy champion, due to your passive it will be a guaranteed critical, giving you some strong early lane dominance.
  • Harass the enemy with Volley, you can also use Volley to farm multiple minions quickly.
  • You can activate Frost Shot and follow up with several auto-attacks for strong harassment.
  • Try to slowly wither the enemy down, often you can score a guaranteed kill with Ashe at level 6 if you hit your Enchanted Crystal Arrow.

Mid Game

  • Be sure to farm lanes and the forest when applicable, Ashe is a very item dependent carry. (She still has great team utility when not farmed up but she is no where near her potential)
  • Volley's cooldown drops very quickly as it approaches max level, use it to poke and harass the enemy, your mana regeneration runes will handle the associated mana costs.
  • Be careful to not over extend in a lane, Ashe has no strong escape skills (that is why Flash/Ghost are so important summoners).
  • Consider building a Banshee's Veil at this stage of the game if you need more survivability, if you don't need the added defense, hold off on building it till late game.

Late Game

  • At this stage of the game it is all about poking and positioning yourself correctly.
  • Using your ultimate on an enemy should result in a guaranteed kill for your team, use it to pick off the dangerous enemies (carries/supports).
  • Enchanted Crystal Arrow is great to initiate with (both before or after the tank has initiated), it can take an enemy completely out of the fight and apply slows to any surrounding enemies.
  • Late game you may need to save your ultimate for stopping enemies with channelled ultimates, this may turn the battle into your teams favour.
